Wayne Law
Singer Songwriter Wayne Law's music is his biography; he has lived his songs and paints a vivid picture for the listener. Born in Dubbo Wayne's early life took him to many parts of rural New South Wales including Lismore and Werris Creek. Today he lives in Oberon with his wife, son and daughter. With his real country upbringing and listening to Charley Pride and Garth Brooks, Wayne has created his own distinct style of music that reflects his personality; honest, perceptive and down to earth.
Wayne came to notice initially as a Star Maker and 1997 New Talent Golden Guitar finalist. In 1998 he was awarded 'Best New Talent' by the Victoria Country Music Association. Inducted into the South Australian Country Music Association's 'Hall of Fame Park' in 1999 and nominated in the 'Best Male Vocalist' section at the Victorian Country Music Awards in 2001.
Wayne has toured with and supported some of the biggest names in Australian music including Slim Dusty, Billy Thorpe, Marcia Hines, Gina Jeffreys, James Blundell, Tania Kernaghan, Mental As Anything and the Dead Ringer Band.
He has gained a well-earned and well-respected reputation and is recognised Industry wide as being one of the most talented singer/songwriters in Australian Country Music today. He has been to Nashville and on the strength of his incredible song writing talent has received many invitations to return and write with the hit makers on 'Music Row'.
A rare talent, Wayne has created a place in country music with his deep, incitful and forceful songs reflecting his experiences and delivers them with passion and warm in his high-energy performances. A young and inspired artist Wayne Law is poised to make a huge impact on the Country Music world.
